Musebox #2 [CLOSED]
Who: Holiday and Six
What: Being STUPID AWKWARD with the hope of some fluff
When: week after #1
Where: Providence HQ
Warnings: Spoilers for "Six Minus Six" up in here.
She had to get this over with. After the first three days (two of which, she was awake for the entire time), she had known that she was right in the first place. There was nothing she could do. It was over. He probably really was gone.
To know anything for certain, there were still some pieces that she was missing... Pieces that only Six had.
After a firm peptalk, she decided to give him a call or something. Beep his communicator or... something. Just as she was about to do it, though, her face met her hands again. How could she do this to him? First of all, she hadn't so much as seen the man since.... whatever his last visit was. Second, she couldn't turn around again and tell him that she wanted the old Six back. She did, but she by no means wanted to force it out of him against his will.
... She still didn't know what he wanted with his life. She knew he wanted the other Six to come back, but was that only for them or was that for him, too?
She sighed. She needed to do this. You can do this... She was so tired and it was already getting late. Maybe he'd be asleep...
AHA! LEAVE A MESSAGE. Brilliant. Sort of.
Alright, after another sigh, she leaves a message on his comm-link. "Six, if you're willing, there's some more tests I'd like to run on you. Only if you're up for it, though. Just come by at any time." And she killed the feed.
And yeah, any time was fine. She was going to be up for a while.

"Ah-... Ie-... Wh-... Six! What are you doing?"
Finally able to make words. Good job!

"I- Wait a minute! I have work to do and- and- This is crazy, Six!"
no subject
And not in a really fun way either.
no subject
At least she stopped struggling. "Down the third hall on the left. Second door." The cursing was implied. And no, Six, it isn't all that far from yours.

Actually, she was planning on sitting there for about ten or twenty minutes before going back to the lab. Everyone'll be happy, then!
no subject
And he was way, way off. More than enough for the both of them.
However, this wasn't spoken in the least bit bitterly. It was simple, matter-of-fact.
no subject
And she would try. Later. When she could afford to sleep.
no subject
Oh, yes, he'll blackmail you. You better believe it.
no subject
Silence.
"You cannot be serious right now."
Just gonna... hide her face in his back for a second.
no subject
He walked to her door and realized something important. Right. Electronic locks. He then poked her lightly in the side. "Your door code?"
no subject
"Oh, no. By all means. I'm curious to hear what you're blackmail for this one is going to be." CAUSE THEY'RE ALL SO ENTERTAINING.
This wasn't so much about work anymore than it was just trying to get past that stubborn head. A trait Six probably had since birth, she wouldn't doubt.
no subject
"...If you insist, there's always Plan B."
He started walking away from her door...
...and towards his.
"I have no problems remembering my code at least."
Out of view of her, he smirked.
no subject
Her hands balled into fists.
"It's five, three, six, one, four."
DAMMIT.
no subject
Five-three-six-one-four. And the door opened. Jackpot.
"Now was that so hard?" he purred teasingly.
no subject
Terrific. Just freaking terrific. She probably wasn't going to get any sleep, anyway. She'll just be trapped in here, all useless... BECAUSE OF THE SAME GUY SHE'S TRYING TO HELP.
no subject
Unlike his room but that was to be expected. Having very few personal possessions made it easier to move out in case of trouble.
He set her down on the bed.
no subject
No. Really. Thanks. A lot.
.... STUPID SMIRK.

He didn't realize it, but he was--in his own way--taking care of Holiday just like how the other Six would've done. In his head, she and Rex were important to his other self and (by extension) him so, therefore, he needed to make sure they were in good shape. Simple as that.
He left the room and shut the door. He then took a moment to remember what it was he'd found amongst all the other information Knight had given him.
"Enter override code...set timer...add additional parameters...done."
Now unless there was a major alert or other major alarm, Holiday was effectively locked in her quarters for the next six hours. Hopefully, she didn't have any sort of remote connection setup or an override code of her own.
Quite pleased with himself, he headed towards his own room. He probably wasn't going to get much sleep tonight either, but at least he'd done well with this.

She still wasn't going to take the bait, though. No matter how soft her bed looked. She just sat there, in a huff, for about twenty minutes or so, before getting up and heading to the door.
... And running into said door. What? She pressed keypad. Ding. Err.
NO.
Ding. Err. Ding. Err. Di- Di- Ding- DingDingDingDingDingDING- Ding. Err.
She wanted to scream. HE LOCKED HER IN!? WHAT!?!?
"Well, played," she growled, eyebrows twitching.
...
...
FINE! SHE'LL REST! GOD!
She stayed in huff while she got ready for bed and even when her head hit the pillow. It didn't take her long to drift away, but her last thought was clearly a fleeting happiness... He did still care this much. That had to mean something.
